Instructions for Presentations—

Oral Presentations—Talks should be 15-20 minutes long.  Thomas 224 is a “smart” classroom equipped with computer projection equipment.  Please stick to your allotted time and try to finish early to allow time for 1-2 questions.  These start promptly at 2:10

Poster Previews—Due to the large number of posters, you each have about 60-90 seconds to “advertise” your poster.  We’ll have an overhead projector available if you would like to use 1-2 transparencies.  Prof. Marc Schulz will make sure we keep to the schedule.  Following the oral presentations we’ll ask you to line up in order to make this process more efficient.

Posters—You may set up your poster any time after 10 AM in Thomas Great Hall.  Easels, tables, push pins, foam boards are provided.  Name tags, programs and refreshments will be available in the afternoon.  The foam boards will fit a poster that is a maximum of 3 ft x 4ft and some of the larger “roll plotter” posters may require a bit more room—try not to take up two boards.

Relax, have fun, and visit posters presented by your fellow graduate students.!
