The building located at 2106-2108 Walnut is known as the John Rice and E. Burgess Warren double house. The building was constructed between 1867 and 1869 for the builders John Rice and E. Burgess Warren. The architects for this house were Fraiser, Furness and Hewitt. It was sold to Walter Horstmann and Samuel Clarkson in 1870. The facade of the double building was built using sandstone. The interior finishes may be representative of the type of work by Fraser. The floral ornament on the facade of the building may be representative of the work by Furness.
