Wharton Street at 2nd Street

[left] P.8513.231  Descriptive manuscript note by photographer on verso: Southwark. 2 and Wharton Sts. 4 families live in this house. It is known to be over 80 yrs old.
The 1920 Census records show that this neighborhood of 2nd and Wharton Streets had a number of Russian immigrant families. This block, including this wood structure and the wagon works factory has been demolished.
