Boyd's city directory of 1900 referred F. Carroll Brewster as a lawyer with the home address at the cross of Wissahickon Avenue and Manheim Street in Germantown.

Boyd's Co-partnership and Residence Business Directory of Philadelphia City. Philadelphia: Boyd's Directory Office, 1900. Ebook.

The book "Philadelphia and Notable Philadelphians" provided a photograph of Brewster and provided a more detailed introduction for him. Brewster was the Attorney General of Pennsylvania between 1869 and 1872. He was also the President of Lawyers' Club, the Jugde of the Court of Common Pleas, and a City Solicitor.

The Brewster residence no longer exists today, and the surrounding area also changed a lot.
