Interestingly, Erringer's garden was mentioned in the book Germantown History as notably beautiful. Western Manheim Street, where Erringer's house was located, was mentioned in the book as "at one time the garden spot of Germantown", and the gardener to Erringer, Thomas Weiss, was introduced in the book.
