Amphictyonic Inventories: Translation
ID 7.104 (364 BC) (non-stoichedon)
This is our only complete Amphictyonic inventory, securely dated to 364 BC by name of the Athenian archon in v.1. It differs from the Independence inventories in the relative paucity of named dedications; not surprisingly, few, if any, are Delian. The earliest dates to the beginning of the 5th C. The Artemision has a relatively high proportion of female dedicators (38%), though with lesser dedications (mostly coins); the Temple of the Athenians naturally names only Athenians (all male). The grouping of phialai into rhymoi is characteristic of the Artemision.
(1) In the archonship of Timokrates at Athens and of Aietion in Delos, the following things were revealed in the Artemision and given over by weight and by number with the authority of the Council of the Delians and the hieropoioi Apatourios and his fellow-officials, by the Athenian Amphictyonians Ariston of Aphidna and (5) his fellow-officials, for whom Praxiteles son of Praxiades from Kephale was secretary, to the Athenian Amphictyonians Thrasonides of Eupyridai and his fellow-officials, for whom Menes the son of Menekles from Pelekes was secretary.
