ARGH!

ARGH! stands for Actively Resolving Group Hostility.  The program was created by student Conflict Coaches who saw a need to help individual students deal with conflict.  The name ARGH! was chosen because it mirrors the emotions felt by many people who feel frustrated by conflict.

If you're not sure what to do about a problem, it can be confusing and frustrating. If conflicts go unaddressed for an extended period of time, there is the possibility that they may become even harder to resolve.

If you have a conflict, but you are having a hard time facing it head-on, contact ARGH! We will hook you up with a trained student Conflict Coach for a confidential, one-on-one conversation about different ways you might deal with your conflict.

Still not sure whether or not to seek help? If you are trying to resolve conflict without assistance, you should read these tips. Engaging in productive conflict is a learned skill - it requires practice and time. It definitely requires making mistakes. ARGH! may help you think through some of those things ahead of time so that your personal experience can go a little smoother.
