The Greek official religion is called Greek Orthodox. All over Greece are churches. Here is a picture of a large cathedral in Nauplion. It is cathedral dedicated to St. George.

Here is a smaller town church -- this one in Nemea.

There are many very small churches all over Greece -- just about the size of a large closet. Here is one from a cave in a mountain near Nemea.

Also, there are little shrines along roads. People leave gifts to a saint in them, like candles, oil, or wine. Here is one to St. George.

Almost every hour in Greece the church bells ring loudly.
