Ann-Sophie comes from Germany, but goes to college in London, England.  She is in her 2nd year there as a student of archaeology.

Why do you work on a dig?

I like to travel, and I am very interested in Greek things.  It’s fun on an excavation because there are always nice people.

What is your favorite part of the excavation?

That is a really hard question because everything is fun. I like the Total Station best, and the digging is fun.  There is always something that you can do here.

Have you worked on other excavations?

One, in England. 

For how long have you wanted to be an archaeologist?

About 4 years ago, when I was 16 or 15, my family and I went to several places where there were excavations, especially in Turkey.  I thought it was quite interesting that there were lots of places not excavated.

How many times have you traveled to Greece?

3 or 4 times.
