12 November 2012
Dear Members of the Faculty and Staff,
At this time of year we give thanks and consider ways we might help our neighbors in need. In addition to those who regularly need extra help and support, Hurricane Sandy wrought chaos across our region and the Eastern seaboard, impacting tens of thousands of additional people and families. Through the College's Combined Giving Campaign, we have the opportunity to better the lives of many struggling families and individuals.
Participating in this campaign is a wonderful way to join together and help those in need. Last year, Bryn Mawr's campaign raised $12,302 to support a variety of organizations dedicated to improving the lives of those in the greater Philadelphia area. This year, I urge Bryn Mawr faculty and staff to participate and help us raise $20,000 so our campaign partners can continue to strengthen our communities. Our Combined Giving Campaign partners are:
The campaign begins today and continues through Friday, December 7. You can participate using payroll deduction, which allows you to donate a fixed amount during each pay period of calendar year 2013. The donation form also allows you to make a one-time gift in addition to, or instead of, a deduction for every pay period.
Donation forms and information about our partner organizations can be found on the Combined Giving Campaign's website: http:/ /www.brynmawr.edujcombinedgiving. The Weekly Insider, as well as the website, will announce our progress throughout the campaign.
All donors will be entered into a drawing for one of four $25 gift certificates from Macy's. We will award an additional four $25 gift certificates just for first-time donors.
Joe Bucci in Human Resources and Raymond Albert at GSSWSR are available to answer questions. If you would like to volunteer your time, instead of or in addition to making a donation, you can contact the Civic Engagement Office at x7320.
Please consider joining me in support of our community. Thank you.
With best wishes,
The 2012-13 Combined Giving Campaign Turkey reflects progress toward our goal of $20,000.
