Bryn Mawr Now is an online newsletter/blog covering events at the College for both external and internal audiences; Inside Bryn Mawr is an online newsletter/blog covering news of interest primarily to an internal readership. Each Thursday during the academic year, the Communications Office sends the Weekly Insider, an e-mail newsletter with excerpts from these two blogs, to all members of the College's faculty and staff and the Campus Insider, a similar publication, to students.
Submit news of events to communications@brynmawr.edu or call Claudia Ginanni at x6524 or Matt Gray at x6528.
The Weekly Insider and Campus Insider are published each Thursday. The final deadline for submissions is one week prior to publication, and earlier is better. If you submit an event on Thursday and aren't available to talk to a reporter and review copy within the next few days, your story still might not make it in if crucial information is missing. Events that are submitted substantially in advance of publication time are likely to get more prominent placement than events submitted at the last minute.
Remember the basics: who, what, when, where and why.
Give the name, phone number and e-mail address of someone who can answer questions about the event.
