*The laptop contribution applies only to primary, College funded "cascade" computers. Department or grant funded purchases will be charged fully to the department.

Because of changes in pricing between models, we are able to offer a standard configuration Windows desktop, Mac Mini desktop, or Windows laptop without additional cost to the individual or department.  We are offering two models of Mac laptop, and each will have an unsubsidized additional cost ( $500 for the 13" MacBook Pro, and $1200 for the 15"Macbook Pro).  Please note that this differential is based entirely on the cost difference between these models and those which do not require additional funding.  This funding model was established in the 2010/11 cascade in consult with administrative cabinet members and the Provost.

As with previous years, alternate specifications of Windows or Mac computers may be unavailable, may not be supported, or may be available only with a department contribution.
