As technology has progressed, mobile devices have become more useful as ways to connect to the Bryn Mawr Community. Today's mobile devices can sync your Bryn Mawr email, calendars, and contacts. Information Services has created the chart and descriptions below to show the various levels of support for these devices. If you have any questions, or would like to speak to a professional technician about the available choices, please contact the Bryn Mawr Computer Help Desk at x7440, or email us at help@brynmawr.edu.

iPhone: Bryn Mawr Support Services can help you get this device connected to the College’s Communication Center. We can help sync your contacts, calendars, and email inbox, as well as answer some general questions concerning your device. We may refer you to your cellular provider (AT&T) for some types of questions. Tasks and Briefcase can be synchronized using a third party application, but do not sync as part of a normal setup.
Windows Mobile: Bryn Mawr Support Services can help you get this device connected to the College’s Communication Center. We can help you sync your contacts, you personal calendar, and email inbox, as well as answer some general questions concerning your device. We may refer you to your cellular provider (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) for some types of questions.
Palm Devices: This device has limited support; we expect to end support of Palm products in the next year or so. Bryn Mawr Support Services may be able to help you connect this device to the College’s Communication Center. We may help you sync your contacts, calendars, and email dependent on model and available software on the device. Questions concerning your device should be directed to your cellular provider (AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, etc.).
Please note: The newer Palms such as the Pre may not be able to sync properly. Some older Palms require a software upgrade (which may have a cost) in order to sync properly, or may only be able to access email.
Blackberry and Android Devices: These are not supported devices. Information Services can only provide generic IMAP settings to connect your Blackberry or Android device to access Bryn Mawr College email. Questions concerning your device should be directed to your cellular provider (AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, etc.).
Other devices (Nokia smartphones and the like): These devices are not supported. Some devices may have the ability to synchronize (per ZImbra). Others may not be able to sync and may be limited to email access or unable to access Bryn Mawr systems.
