At Bryn Mawr College Child Study Institute, highly qualified specialists in psychological assessment, educational support services, speech-language therapy, educational consultation, and psychotherapy strive to help clients improve their adjustment and competence in school, home, and community settings. A multidisciplinary approach is used to address learning, academic, occupational, emotional, and interpersonal difficulties experienced by children, adolescents, adults, and families. Professional services provided include:

  • Psychological Assessment

    CSI psychologists provide a wide range of psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, college students, and adults, including comprehensive psychological batteries, neuropsychological evaluation, assessment of social/emotional adjustment, and early childhood evaluations.

  • Educational Support
  • CSI certified instructional specialists provide individualized remedial instruction for individuals experiencing learning issues from preschool through college.

  • Psychotherapy
  • CSI psychologists provide psychotherapy and counseling services to help individuals, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of adjustment problems.

  • Speech-Language
  • CSI speech-language pathologists provide comprehensive speech-language assessment and therapy to children presenting with a wide range of communication difficulties.

  • Special Education Consultation
  • CSI psychologists help interpret assessment findings obtained elsewhere, conduct further assessment as needed, and accompany parents to meetings with school personnel to discuss their children’s needs.

  • Career Counseling and Educational Consultation

    CSI psychologists provide individualized help with educational and career planning for adolescents and adults, especially those with learning problems.
