In the event of an emergency, students should call Public Safety at x911 from any campus phone or 610 526-7911 from off-campus or cell phones. When appropriate, the Public Safety Office will contact the dean of the student in question. In the event that a student’s dean cannot be reached, another dean will be called.
There is a nurse at the Health Center Monday -Thursday nights during the academic year while classes are in session. The nurse will contact the medical director, Kay Kerr, if students are seriously ill or require transport to Bryn Mawr Hospital. Students who require assistance to get to the Health Center should call Public Safety at any time of the day or night. On weekend evenings, there is an on-call system in place. Students call Public Safety and Public Safety activiates the on-call system. Note that the Health Center is closed during the fall and spring breaks, during the winter break between semesters, and over the Thanksgiving holiday. If an emergency occurs during these times, Public Safety will transport an ill or injured student to the emergency room of Bryn Mawr Hospital.
