Anonymous Reporting Form

Bryn Mawr’s values and its honor code are instrumental in creating an inclusive, caring and responsible community on our campus. However, there may be times when you are worried about someone else’s behavior or actions and you do not know what to do. The form below is designed to give Bryn Mawr students a safe and anonymous outlet for sharing their concerns about another student in the community. All submissions are sent to a member of the Dean’s Office On-Call Team who will follow-up based on the information provided by the end of the next business day.

IMPORTANT: If you believe that a student is a danger to herself or a member of the community, is seriously hurt or ill, or is in need of immediate attention, DO NOT USE THIS FORM. Call Campus Safety immediately at x7911.

Providing the information requested below is optional. However, please note that our ability to give assistance will be improved if we have the most complete details possible. Although all submissions will be treated as confidential to every extent possible, you should be aware of the following before using this form:

  1. This form uses e-mail to transmit information to the Dean’s Office On Call person. Because e-mail is not a secure form of communication, we cannot guarantee the absolute confidentiality of your submission. If you have concerns about this limitation of e-mail, please consider bringing your concern to a member of the Dean’s Office staff in person.
  2. Federal law (specifically, Title IX) requires school officials to investigate any report or allegation of sexual harassment. If you are using this form to report sexual misconduct, the Dean’s Office On Call person is obligated to inform the dean of the college and Campus Safety. The information provided in your submission may be used in any subsequent college investigation, even if you choose to remain anonymous.

Example: Luna Lovegood is a girl on my hall who is in my customs group. She went home for fall break and ever since she got back to campus she has been acting strangely. She never seems to leave her room unless it’s for class and she doesn’t come out with the rest of us like she used to or eat with us in the dining hall. When I do see her, she seems very sad and distant. I am really worried about her.
