At Bryn Mawr since 1992. Coauthor of a classic textbook in industrial organization, his research in that field specializes in public policies toward imperfectly competitive industries and the impact of technological change on economic performance. Following his election to his local township governing board, his scholarship has turned to environmental and other governance problems facing ex-urban communities.
