Students interested in any of these options are invited to come to an orientation on either campus to learn more. These sessions are held in October and March on both campuses and are announced to all first year students and sophomores through e-mail and campus postings.
For more information about these options, or to schedule an individual meeting, contact Ann Brown, Program Coordinator and Student Adviser, at abrown@brynmawr.edu.
"I want to be able to teach children how to think critically about their situation in society in relation to others, and how inequality plays into that. I want to be that educator that Freire considers an “agent of social justice.”
- Tiffany Shumate, Bryn Mawr College '08
"What I learned about teaching is that what's communicated is not just what's on the syllabus, although, of course, content is important. But it's also the ways we amuse, inspire, encourage, and connect with one another through the currents of emotional energy through which the lessons are taught. There are, after all, lessons beneath the lessons in the way we enjoy being human together.”
- Zoe Guastella, Bryn Mawr College '13
