Academic Program

The Bryn Mawr/Haverford Education Program offers several options to students interested in education or teaching. Education courses include both extensive exploration of educational theory and field placement opportunities, which range from two hours per week in the introductory course to full-time student teaching in the culminating course required for certification. Please note that students may not pursue certification AND complete a minor; these are separate options, with very different culminating field experiences.

Students interested in any of these options are invited to come to an orientation on either campus to learn more. Robyn Newkumet holds the orientation sessions at Haverford and Ann Brown conducts the Bryn Mawr sessions.

Robyn Newkumet and Ann Brown are also available for individual meetings at any time during the semester.
