Debbie Flaks, M.Ed.

Debbie Flaks, M.Ed. co-directs Student Success Services, a collaborative practice of professionals who help students achieve success academically, emotionally, and socially, and has worked with students, parents and teachers in schools and colleges for over 20 years.

Before moving into private practice, Ms. Flaks worked at Overbrook School for the Blind and The Crefeld School, a progressive college preparatory school that attracts students who have struggled in more traditional school settings. She served as a teacher, learning specialist, and Director of Program and Learning Support.

Ms. Flaks also is a Visiting Lecturer in the Bryn Mawr/Haverford Education Program and supervises student teachers at Swarthmore College. She holds an M.Ed. from Pennsylvania College of Optometry (with certification in the Education of the Visually Impaired), as well as an M.Ed. from Temple University (with certification in as a Reading Specialist), and a certification in Special Education from St. Joseph's University.
