Since 2000, Jardin de Cocina Proyecto (Kitchen Garden Project) has helped over 100 isolated, low-income women build vegetable and herb gardens outside their back doors.

Are you interested in seeing how urban community gardens works?
Come spend a few hours volunteering with the City Harvest Program at
community gardens in Philadelphia! Volunteers will get to help ready
plots for the growing season, and plant vegetable that be donated to
local food cupboards.

Head on over on the TriCo bus to check out Swarthmore's Student Organic Garden. The garden is immediately across from the ML dorm (check a campus map, or google map the corner of harvard ave and yale ave, swarthmore, pa).
