Logging in to Blackboard

Logging into Blackboard

If you've forgotten your password or are logging in for the first time, follow all the steps. To refresh yourself on logging in with your username and password, begin at step 5:

1. Go to http://tamarack.swarthmore.edu/webapps/blackboard/password2/select-user.jsp where you should see the following screen:

2. On the screen fill in the information it asks—your full first name, your last name, and your user name. Your user name is your email username with “bmc.” preceding it. Then click the “submit” button.

3. Within a few minutes you should receive an e-mail with the subject “Lost Password Notification.”

4. In that e-mail you will receive a link. Click on it, and the link will take you to page where you can reset your password.

5. Once you’ve reset your password, you can go to the Blackboard log in page at http://blackboard.brynmawr.edu

6. Type in your user name (which begins with bmc.) and password and then click the “Login” button. You will then be logged into Blackboard.

7. Help is always available by clicking on the "Help" button from the login screen or clicking on the ? icon from any screen. If you don't find the answer to your question or have any problems logging in, e-mail the help desk (help@brynmawr.edu) or your Blackboard support person.
