| Awarded to sophomores and juniors in the top quarter of their class who plan to pursue careers in mathematics, engineering and the natural sciences. They provide $7500 for the last year or two of undergraduate studies. Bryn Mawr is allowed to nominate 4 students. Eligible candidates notified at the beginning of the fall semester. US citizenship required. |

| Beinecke Memorial Scholarship |
| Awarded to juniors with superior scholastic achievement in the humanities and social sciences and with demonstrated financial need. They provide $32,000 during graduate school. Bryn Mawr nominates 1 student. Application is by invitation only; invitations go out at the end of the fall semester. US citizenship required. |

| DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship Program |
| Provides scholarship support for study in Germany. Also available to fund senior thesis research and/or internships, preferably based at a German university. Period of study must be at least four months and no more than ten. International students are eligible. |

| Gilman International Scholarship Program |
| Provides grants of up to $5000 to U.S. citizens receiving Pell Grants for study abroad. Study outside of Western Europe and Australia is especially encouraged. Recipients must undertake a follow-on project upon their return from abroad that helps to promote international education and the Gilman International Scholarship. |

| Harry S. Truman Scholarships |
| Awarded to junior, often but not always in the top quarter of their class, who have records of leadership and public service and a demonstrated interest in a career in government or related public service at the federal, state, or local level. They provide $2000 during the senior year and up to $24,000 during graduate school. Bryn Mawr nominates 2 students. US citizenship required. |

| Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship |
| Awarded primarily to current sophomores. Applications accepted from underrepresented minority students interested in pursuing a research project in one of the Mellon designated fields of study and any student, regardless of race or ethnicity, who has a demonstrated commitment to eradicating racial disparities in academia and who wishes to pursue research in one of the designated areas. |

| NSEP Boren Undergraduate Scholarships for Study Abroad |
| Awarded to current undergraduates committed to the study of languages, cultures, and world regions that are critical to U.S. national security and that are not widely studied in the U.S Only freshmen and sophomores may apply for funding for summer programs. The Boren may also be used to fund a semester of study abroad during the junior year. Recipients are required to seek employment with an agency or office of the federal government involved in national security affairs. U.S. citizenship required. |

| Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship |
| Provides scholarship support for the last two years of undergraduate study and the first year of graduate study to students in in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. Fellows commit to a summer institute, graduate study in international studies at an approved program, and four years of employment in the Foreign Service. Must apply during the junior year. 3.2 GPA required. US citizenship required. |

| St. Andrew’s Foundation Scholarship |
| Provides grants of up to $16,000 to U.S. citizens enrolled in colleges or universities in the Philadelphia area planning a full year of study in Scotland. Applicants must be in the top quarter of their class. Bryn Mawr is allowed to nominate one student. U.S. Citizenship required. |

| Udall Scholarships |
| Awarded to current sophomores and juniors with outstanding potential in the field of environmental studies. Also eligible are Native American students studying fields related to health care and tribal public policy. Minimum GPA: 3.0. The fellowship provides $5000 towards college costs. Bryn Mawr is allowed to nominate 6 students. US citizenship or permanent resident status required. |
