I interned with Dyke TV in Brooklyn, NYC the summer after my freshman year where I was in charge of organizing film screenings to raise money for the organization. I am also currently the student assistant for the Bryn Mawr College Film Studies Program.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO BECOME A FILM STUDIES MINOR? WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT FILM STUDIES?
I am really interested in studying visual representation and I've had a wonderful experience working with the film studies professors on projects for classes both within and outside the film program.
DO YOU ATTEND ANY FILM-RELATED EVENTS ON CAMPUS? OFF-CAMPUS? ANY HIGHLIGHTS?
I try to attend film screenings on campus, as well as film related lectures on campus. I also enjoy the programming at International
ANY THOUGHTS ON WHETHER OR NOT YOUR FUTURE PLANS WILL INVOLVE FILM?
I'm interested in race and representation and i think that film will likely be one of my greatest tools in the study.

I am writing my thesis on the film Birth of a Nation and notions of visual signification.
