What
is the geology list?
The geology list is an e-mail distribution list used to communitcate important
information and announcements among students, staff, faculty and friends of
the Department of Geology at Bryn Mawr. This information may include important
deadlines for majors, announcements of speakers or other events, or postings
of summer internships or other geology-related jobs.
How
do I join the geology list?
You can sign yourself up for the geology list by following these steps:
From
your own e-mail account, address a message to majordomo@brynmawr.edu.
In
the body of the message, type subscribe geology and nothing else.
Send
the message. That's it! In a few minutes, you should receive e-mail confirmation
that you have been subscribed.
If you have
trouble subscribing, send e-mail to geology-owner@brynmawr.edu explaining
the problem.
Who
may join?
Anyone may join the geology list.
How
may I use the geology list?
Once you are subscribed, you will receive any messages that are sent to the
list. To send a message to ALL students, faculty and staff in the Geology
Department, address your message geology@brynmawr.edu. Only those who
are on the geology list may send messages to the list. The geology list is
not a discussion list; it is for geology-related announcements only. Commercial
use, advertisements for goods or services, or unauthorized use of the list
of subscribers is strictly prohibited.
How
can I leave the geology list?
You can leave the geology list anytime by following these steps: (It is strongly
recommended that BMC Geology majors, minors, grad students and faculty remain
subscribed!)
