Michael Burri, PhD (University of Pennsylvania) is a scholar of German and Comparative literature and film. He has taught courses in Literatures and Cultures of Germany, Austria, and Central Europe and European Film at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Charles University in Prague. He has published widely on topics ranging from Swiss Women Screenwriters and Turn of the Century Vienna to Tarantino’s Django Unchained. At Bryn Mawr, he is teaching Intermediate German, Austrian Cinema, and Migration and Mobility in Austrian, German, and Swiss Culture, Cinema, and Politics.
