Through the Annual Fund thousands of individuals – alumnae/i, parents, and friends – participate in an effort that is life-changing for the women studying at Bryn Mawr today. These gifts combine to provide the College with the resources to meet the College's challenges and meet ongoing needs. Your generosity will help address key budget needs, such as scholarship, faculty salaries, library materials and equipment, and to maintain and enhance Bryn Mawr's programs and facilities.
In the 2007-08 academic year the Annual Fund totaled $5.7 million. With tuition covering only about 54% of the cost to educate a student, the Annual Fund is an essential component in the health of the College's finances. To provide an income equal to last year's Fund would have required an addition of $115 million to the permanent endowment.
Participation by undergraduate alumnae declined very slightly to 35%.
Your gift to the Annual Fund really is "a gift for learning."
