"Bryn Mawr Gives a Hoot!"
Friday, February 6th, the Resources Office hosted the first annual "Bryn Mawr Gives a Hoot" day to celebrate philanthropy at the College. The event was intended to educate the campus community about the important role private giving plays in sustaining the excellence and quality of a Bryn Mawr education. The campus was dotted with nearly 300 bright yellow signs sharing facts about giving such as "Over 200 volunteers work with six staff members to raise nearly $6 million each year for the Annual Fund." Throughout the day students stopped by the Campus Center to write and sign thank you notes which were later sent to recent donors to the College's Annual Fund. In just four hours students wrote nearly 500 thank you notes. You can read more about the event and student reaction online at the Bi-Co Newspaper website www.biconews.com
