Research interests:
19th- and 20th-century German and Austrian literature; German and European intellectual and literary history; German and Austrian film; gender and sexuality studies.

 

Recent Publications:
Dr. Meyer has published numerous articles and essays on German and Austrian literature and film. She also is the author of Jenseits der Spiegel kein Land: Ich-Fiktionen in Texten von Franz Kafka und Ingeborg Bachmann. Her new monograph on masculinity and melodrama in Arthur Schnitzler’s prose fiction, recently published by Königshausen & Neumann, is Männlichkeit und Melodram: Arthur Schnitzlers erzählende Schriften.

Dr. Meyer also is the editor of the Continuum book series "New Directions in German Studies."
