The

in Turkey and the regional archaeological study of the Nemea Valley
Archaeological Project in Greece have finished their field work
and are now in the phase of analysis and publication of the results.
The Tarsus Regional Project has been initiated by Bryn Mawr College
and BogaziÁi University in Istanbul to investigate the Gzl¸
K¸le mound at Tarsus, in Cilicia, and its vicinity. Further
field projects in Greece or the Near East are foreseen for the future.
There will be opportunities for Bryn Mawr graduate students and
advanced undergraduates to participate in these projects. In addition,
students normally take part in excavations sponsored by other institutions.
Archaeology applicants interested in excavation are strongly urged
to get field experience as soon as possible and to consider attending
training programs in the United States or abroad, as well as in
the area of their special interest.
