The
Graduate Group is housed in the prize-winning Rhys Carpenter Library,
with over 125,00 volumes in art and archaeology. This limited-circulation
collection brings together materials in the fields of History of Art
and Architecture, Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology, Classics,
and Growth and Structure of Cities.
Carpenter
Library offers fully wired, spacious and technologically up-to-date
carrels for every student in the Graduate Group. Also housed in Carpenter
is the Digital
Media and Visual Resources Center, with an extensive slide collection
that is open to students for use in conjunction with seminar presentations,
conference papers or teaching, as well as scanning equipment for producing
illustrations, and a copy stand with camera equipment to shoot slides.
Use of the newest technology extends into the smart classrooms
located in Carpenter and Thomas, which offer all the latest multimedia
options for both teaching and student presentations.
Additional
resources include the Mariam
Coffin Canaday Library with more than 500,000 volumes and 1,250
periodicals, the Rare
