In each of these situations, the student should be in the Health Center.

Campus Safety cannot provide transportation for regularly scheduled physician visits or non-urgent lab or imaging studies.

For students who have an urgent medical concern when the Health Center is closed, Campus Safety will provide transportation to the Bryn Mawr Hospital Emergency Room.

Counseling Services

BMC counseling staff members are trained and experienced in dealing with issues specific to college students.  Individual counseling is by appointment.  We encourage students to call 610-526-7360 between the hours of 9 am and 5 pm, Monday-Friday to schedule an appointment.  No concern is too small.  There is a $20 charge for counseling appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.

The Counseling Service provides assessment, treatment, education, consultation, and referral services to support the well being and functioning of BMC students.  There are no financial barriers for needed counseling visits.

Graduate Students and Post-Bacs:

All graduate and post bac students can receive an initial consultation with a counselor in the Counseling Service for appropriate referral to community mental health providers.

No student is ever denied needed counseling because of an inability to pay. If you have any questions, please discuss them with your counselor or the Counseling Director.
