During the school year, the Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 7 PM. The Health Center is also open from 9 AM until 2 PM on Saturdays and Sundays except during Fall Break, Winter Break, Spring Break and over the summer.
Our medical, gyn and counseling services are available weekdays from 9 AM until 4 PM. A registered nurse is available all other weekday and weekend hours, with access to on-call physicians and counselors.

If you have an urgent medical concern that cannot wait until the Health Center reopens at 9 AM, go to the Emergency Room at Bryn Mawr Hospital.

Monday mornings are "Walk-in" times - no appointment is necessary.
Same-day appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Please call 610-526-7360 between 9 AM and 12 NOON on the day you want to be seen to make a same-day appointment. Walk-ins with urgent problems will also be accepted, however those with appointments will have priority (except, as always, in the case of a true emergency).
The Physicians & Nurse Practitioner provide care for students who:
-feel their problem requires physician or nurse practitioner care
- have been referred by the nurse for a higher level of care

The Gyn Nurse Practitioner provides:
BMC counseling staff members are trained and experienced in dealing with issues specific to college students. Individual counseling is by appointment. We encourage students to call 610-526-7360 between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, Monday-Friday to schedule an appointment. No concern is too small. There is a $20 charge for counseling appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
The Counseling Service provides assessment, treatment, education, consultation, and referral services to support the well being and functioning of BMC students. There are no financial barriers for needed counseling visits.
After several sessions, at no charge, undergraduate students use their private and/or the College's insurance to cover the costs of subsequent counseling visits. The insurance-ready bill that students recieve from the Health Center should be submitted to the insurance company for possible reimbursement. We do not directly participate with any insurance programs. Any bills not paid within 30 days will be transferred to the Comptroller's office as a "Health Center Charge". Graduate Students and Post-Bacs:
All graduate and post bac students can receive an initial consultation with a counselor in the Counseling Service at no charge for appropriate referral to community mental health providers.
No student is ever denied needed counseling because of an inability to pay. If you have any questions, please discuss them with your counselor or the Counseling Director.

ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A COMPLETED PHYSICAL EXAM FORM ON FILE AT THE HEALTH CENTER TO RECEIVE SERVICES.
Except in the case of a life-threatening emergency, the Health Center will not release information to anyone including parents, family, police, employers, faculty or administrators, unless the student provides consent.

No student will be denied needed health care or counseling because of an inability to pay.
The student health insurance will pay some portion of the fees charged by physicians outside the Health Center when the student is referred by the Health Center caregivers. Routine health care (dental or vision check-ups, etc.) or elective visits to a specialist (e.g. for acne or allergy testing) are generally not covered by the BMC student health insurance.
