Internship: Rural clinic reproductive health
For my internship, I set up a work experience with a rural, family doctor from my hometown. We worked together to educate some of her younger female patients on the importance of family planning and contraceptive education. I was able to spread my outreach to some of the community memebers and surrounding doctors. While the lack of interest for birth control was somewhat upsetting, I still feel like I was able to make some important progress on this issue.
