Katharine Houghton is a celebrated actress, playwright, screenwriter and lecturer. Her film debut was in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner , which also starred her aunt Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Sidney Poitier. In 1969, she won an Obie Award for her performance in Scent of Flowers and continued to appear in Broadway productions regularly for the next 20 years. In the early 1990s, she returned to the screen, appearing in such films as Billy Bathgate, Ethan Frome and Kinsey.
She will discuss the legacy of the Houghton Hepburn women at the campus luncheon on Saturday afternoon.
