POSITION TITLE: Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Provide executive support to the Chief Development Officer.
Support all functions of the Chief Development Officer (CDO), including:
SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY:
Specific direction - Plans and arranges own work; accomplishes assigned objectives; uses a wide range of procedures; refers only unusual situations to the Director of Development.
Internal and external contact involving routine and moderately complicated issues, which may require tact and diplomacy and will involve interaction with alumnae, donors, and Trustees.
Access to confidential correspondence and staff files.
Usual office conditions; frequent exposure to deadlines/pressure.
Work instructions are received on a daily basis from the Chief Development Officer in both oral and written formats. These instructions supplement the normal work routine.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
This position requires an organized individual experienced in a busy office environment Must be able to work effectively in a team-structured department, prioritize with minimal oversight, multi-task, provide attention to detail, and adapt well to change,. In addition, the individual must possess good computer skills within Windows, MS Office, email, and databases; superior communication skills; a positive attitude, and a high degree of professionalism.
Development experience is a plus. Professional integrity and an ability to maintain confidentiality are a must.
