POSITION TITLE: Manager, Wyndham

Position Objective:  Manages the staff of the Wyndham and Catering, ensuring efficient and professional service to customers.


  • Ensures all aspects of the restaurant are properly & efficiently functioning, during all operational hours. Supervises the front of the house staff, ensuring all necessary duties are being performed.
  • Oversees all daily sanitation as it relates to the guest and rest rooms.
  • Stays abreast of daily catering inside and outside of Wyndham.
  • Ensures cleanliness and sanitary conditions of Wyndham, equipment, chairs, tables, kitchen, basement, liquor room and terrace.
  • Ensures proper storage and care of liquor and bar needs, as well as maintaining inventories of this area.
  • Conducts training sessions for wait staff, students and bartenders.
  • Orders and ensures proper storage of all house linens.
  • Manages catering events inside and outside of Wyndham:
    • Coordinates proper set-up and breakdown of events
    • Communicates with catering clients, guests of the college and college staff in a professional manner
  • Ensures the following are properly done:
    • Party packs
    • Vans and Truck unloaded and cleaned
    • Equipment is cleaned and returned to proper storage area
  • Maintains proper cash handling & credit card procedures and performs daily audits and deposits. Maintains all petty cash policies and procedures
  • Creates and maintains weekly reports as required
  • Supervises all staff in Wyndham which includes student, wait, utility, housekeeping & catering assistants.
  • Has authority to handle/write disciplinary notices with review by Assistant Director
  • Daily use of computer and applicable software.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or directed
  • Acts as Assistant Director when he/she is not present.

  • ServSafe certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize a microcomputer and applicable software (Word, Excel), standard business machines such as a cash register, credit card machine.
  • Bachelor degree in restaurant and hotel management or related field, with prior supervisory experience. Experience in a hotel, country club, private club or restaurant environment, or a combination of prior experience, education or training which provides the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge.
