Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR)
POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant - GSSWSR, Part-time
(21 hrs/wk) - Temporary Position
Position is to be filled immediately for up to three years.
Works as a member of the Field Education team perform administrative tasks towards the efficient matching of graduate social work students with internships in social service agencies. Students at the Graduate School of Social Work are required to have agency-based internships each year, as part of their Master’s degree program. The Field Education Department assures that all students are matched with an internship (field placement) according to their learning needs. Will also work on as-needed basis as member of GSSWSR Office of Administrative and Academic Support, mainly in the Dean’s Office, assisting with student and faculty services, under the direction of the Assistant Dean for Administration.
REPORTS TO: Director of Field Education
Qualifications: BA degree and a min. of 3 years administrative experience preferred with strong verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must possess good organizational skills, accurate data entry ability, and expertise in using Microsoft platforms (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as a desire to learn other web-based applications such as Moodle and PeopleSoft. Salary: $19.00 per hour.
