This Italianate style house is reperesentative of the mid-19th century farm houses
nd early summer houses that Could be found throughout the chestnut hill. The
wrap-around porch with spindle work was a later Victorian addition. The
openness of the land behind the house suggests the sweeping views of Wissahickon
industrial corridor and Montgomery County that the first owners must have enjoyed.
