This photo of a Queen Anne style dwelling with its crisp geometry and massing clearly illustrated the stark
Character of the Chestnut Hill landscape in the early 1900s who one compares it with the lush Wissahickon-
Style plantings that now surround the house. The porch has been removed since Mr. Naylor shot this photograph,
however, 35 Rex Avenue is an almost identical mirror image of this house and retains its porch.
