This stone Queen Anne style dwelling is characteristic of the large, comfortable homes constructed in
Chestnut Hill, and especially on West Chestnut Hill Avenue, in the late 19th century. The house and
porches sprawl out across the landscape and literally call out for the Wissahickon style planting
design that is seen today. Photos taken several years apart.
