Testing the Webcast
A video Webcast of the inauguration of Jane Dammen McAuliffe as the president of Bryn Mawr College will be available until Nov. 4, 2008. To ensure that you are able to view the simulcast, please take a moment now to find out if your computer and software meet the sytem requirements, and then visit the test link below. If you are able to view the test video, you should have no difficulty viewing the inauguration Webcast.
System requirements:
It is recommended that your computer have the following system requirements for the best presentation viewing experience:

- Microsoft® Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Windows Vista
- Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or later or Firefox® 2.0 or later
- Windows Media® Player 9.0 or later
- Mac users
- Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later
- Safari™ 2.0.4 or later or Firefox 2.0 or later
- Microsoft Silverlight 1.0
- Display resolution of 800x600 pixels or more
- Sound card
- Broadband Internet connection (256Kbps or more)

Click on this test link. You will be taken to a new window. Please wait a moment or two for the video on the left side of the new window to start. Please note that this test video is from the University of Arkansas.
If your computer is compatible with the Webcast software, you should see the test video.
If you are unable to view the test video, follow the step by step instructions below to download the free software that will make your computer compatible.
Step 1: After clicking on the link, download the plug-in when prompted.
Step 2: Accept the terms and conditions of the software.
Step 3: Install the software. Once it is installed, close all browser windows.
Step 4: Reopen the browser and click the link again. The test video should appear.
If you are unable to see the video or hear the audio, please refer to the Troubleshooting Tips sheet.
