The tables below are based on data comparing 1,489 institutions from the National Science Foundation Survey of Earned Doctorates data set that had an average of at least 25 female bachelor's recipients per year for the period 1991-2000. The rate is calculated as the number of doctorate degrees earned by female bachelor's degree recipients at the listed college during the ten years 2000-2009, divided by the total number of female baccalaureate completions (graduates) from that institution nine years earlier (1991-2000).
NSF stopped releasing baccalaureate origins data by gender in 2006. Click here for a full description of the methodology used for estimating female PhD rates and counts for the years 2007 through 2009.
