SUPPORT FOR TRAVEL

Although we are trying to obtain more funds, at present there is limited financial support. The registration fee (120 USD) and accommodation costs (52 USD per day) are quite low and will include breakfasts, lunches, and coffee breaks. There is also a reduced rate on IDEA membership for students and participants from South countries. As well, you will have the option of signing up for the opening reception and a banquet during the conference and a field trip the day following the conference - again at a reduced cost. The biggest expense for many participants will, of course, be travel. We are, therefore, setting aside funds we currently have and are in the process of seeking additional funding to support the cost of travel.

Support for travel will be limited to students, academics, and practitioners in low-income AND lower-middle-income countries, as defined by the World Bank:

Participants from these countries should send an application that contains the following:

• full contact information;
• information about travel costs from their countries to the conference;
• information about other sources of financial support they have obtained or are seeking;
• and information about whether the financial support is essential or helpful.

While competition for financial support will be strong, candidates committed to presenting their papers and attending the conference are strongly encouraged to apply.
