Leadership in Action Program
The Leadership in Action Program is designed to give students the opportunity to observe community leadership in action by matching Bryn Mawr students with professionals in leadership roles for a three to five day externship. By shadowing these leaders in the field, students have the opportunity to explore real-world issues and elements of leadership through a variety of professions and perspectives. Students participating in Leadership in Action will have completed LEAP, an intensive leadership development workshop series where they explored different elements of leadership and developed practical leadership skills. Leadership in Action takes students to the next level of understanding and exploration, culminating in a focused reflection of their observations and experiences.
The program is offered during Bryn Mawr's Spring Break, March 7 - 11, 2011. All participants will be required to participate in a pre- and post-externship reflection session.

Applying for a Leadership in Action Externship
*Leadership in Action is open only to students who are currently enrolled in or have completed the LEAP Intensive Leadership Development Program.*
APPLICATIONS for Leadership in Action externships will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and students will be matched with externship hosts on a first come, first served basis. You are strongly encouraged to submit your application as soon as possible and no later than Friday, February 25, 2011.
Becoming a Leadership in Action Externship Host
Leaders interested in hosting Bryn Mawr students may fill out the Host Application to volunteer.
