Cornelia Halsey Kellogg and Cornelia Halsey Carroll Fund for Purchases in Humanities

Designated for the purchase of materials in the Humanities.

Established by a gift of Cornelia Thomas Carroll, Class of 1958, as a memorial fund to honor her grandmother, Cornelia Halsey Kellogg, Class of 1909, and her own daughter, Cornelia Halsey Carroll, "her grandmother's first great-grandchild, who might hopefully have been a fourth generation member of the Class of 1983 had she lived."

Louise Kerr Book Fund

Designated for the purchase of materials for the general collection, with a preference for those in Physics.

Established at the bequest of Louise Chamberlin Kerr, Class of 1946. Her family requested the bequest be used to establish a fund for books for the Library. Louise Chamberlin Kerr was a Physics major.

Hortense Flexner King Fund for Books for the Department of English

Designated for the purchase of materials in English.

Established by an initial gift by Virginia Loomis Shiefflin (Mrs. Bayard Shiefflin), Class of 1930, in memory of Hortense Flexnor King. Hortense Flexner King spent only her freshman year at Bryn Mawr, but later became a member of the English Department where she taught a poetry course for many years. She died September 28, 1973.

Katherine J. Kurnick Book Fund

Designated for the purchase of materials for the general collection.

Katherine J. Kurnick, Class of 1968, and Judith A. Palmer, Class of 1967, were killed in an automobile accident in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. and Mrs. Kurnick established this fund in memory of their daughter.

Margery P. Lee Book Fund

Established by a gift from Margery Peterson Lee, Class of 1951, who wrote, "it is my intention to add to this fund during my lifetime, and also leave a bequest to supplement the fund upon my death."

James H. Leuba Fund for Books in Psychology

Designated for the purchase of books in Psychology.

Established by an anonymous gift from a member of the Class of 1919. James H. Leuba, founder of the Department of Psychology, was a member of the Bryn Mawr College Faculty from 1898 until his retirement in 1933. He died in 1940.
