Textbook: Differential Equations by Blanchard, Devaney and Hall, 3nd Edition. There will be a copy available on reserve in the Science Library.

  1. Course Syllabus
  2. Homework Assignments:  Each student is allowed two late hws during the term. When you have used up your two lates, further late hw will not be accepted. Our grader is Sharon Grim who can be reached at sgrim@brynmawr.edu.

You are encouraged to collaborate on homework. This means you can talk with each other, figure things out together, help each other. But when you finally write up your answer, you should do this by yourself. You may not copy the answer that someone else has written. This would be a violation of the honor code.

When you redo your homework, you can submit up to three problems. The redo is due one week after the initial homework.

  1. Course "Play by Play": A listing of which sections and topics are covered in each lecture. The topics we have covered and will cover in the next lectures are listed in black. The topics from last year's course, which are similar but not exactly the same as what we will be covering in the future, are listed in blue.

Computer Labs: List of computer lab assignments. List of lab participants.  Friday 2-4pm, Monday 8- 10pm. Lab TA is Phil Zang, pzhang@haverford.edu. Final lab make up: Friday April 21 from 2-4pm.

Final TA review session: Thursday April 20 from 6-8pm in computer lab with Jonah.

Midterm exam due back at the start of class on Wed April 26th.

 As of Monday March 13, we have new group assignments for class ( old Group Assignments)

First Mid-term exam feedback: Scores scale, comments, chance to redo for additional credit. As part of your test redo, you must both write the correct solution and also explain what your mistakes were.

Second Mid-term: Scores and grades. The graded midterms are on the shelf outside my office.

A=4.0  >= 95% = 247

A- = 3.7 >= 90% = 234

B+ = 3.3 >= 85% = 221

B = 3.0 >= 80% = 208

B- = 2.7 >= 75% = 195

C+ = 2.30 >= 70%=182

C = 2.0 >= 65% = 169

C- = 1.7 >= 60% = 156

 Course survey; you will get 10 points added to your second mid-term score when you fill in the survey
