Read Chapter 1 and Sections 2.1 and 2.2. If you like, read the rest of Chapter 2; but we'll get to that when we need it to model stock prices.

Problems to turn in:
   Chapter 1, problems 2, 4, 7, 8, 9b, 11, 12, 19.
   Chapter 2, problems 1 and 3 (subject to change);
      and read problem 9.
