Application
Please submit all the following:
1. A completed application form.
2. One copy of your transcript indicating all grades up to and including Fall 2009.
3. A two-to-three-page essay in which you describe your academic interests and goals and your specific interest in the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship Program (MMUF).
4. A writing sample of an essay/paper written during the fall semester of 2009.
5. Letters of recommendation from two professors in a sealed envelope marked "CONFIDENTIAL" with applicant's name on the envelope as well as the recommending professor's name. At least one of the professors should be someone with whom you have discussed your specific interest in college teaching or research and who can comment on the quality of the research you would like to conduct if you become a fellow. If desired, you may submit a third letter of recommendation as part of your application.
DEADLINE: The entire application must be submitted to Vanessa Christman in the Office of Intercultural Affairs, Multicultural Center, by 4:00pm on Friday, February 12, 2010.
Please note that the applicant is responsible for timely submission of the complete application.
