Spanish TAs


Information for Apprentice Teachers in German

TAs in German will work with students enrolled in beginning German (German 001 and 002) at Bryn Mawr College.

TAs will be expected to do the following:

a). drilling the students in material taught by a profefssor the of the German Department in class;

b). supervising interactive activities designed to encourage
communication in German. Such activities will include: rapid-paced communicative drills, dialogues, simulations, pantomime, role-playing, discussions, debates, interviews, skits, and task-oriented demonstrations.

c). attending the weekly meetings with the other TA(s) and the language coordinator of the German Department. In meetings, you will discuss the activities and tutorials from the previous week and plan for the coming week.

TAs work for 5 hours per week:

a). 2 hours per week with students in tutorials;
b). 2 hours per week of preparation for the tutorials;
c). 1 hour per week in meetings with the language coordinator and other TAs.
